MISCELLANEOUS

In my very small, cliquey school, I was unpopular. I was bullied. I was crushingly lonely.

This was the beginning of my first experience of fangirling. At the time, incredibly confusing, and in hindsight, totally uncomplicated.

Without exaggeration, fangirling has been a genuine source of shame and despair for almost my entire life.
